Following their qualification in the ISA Regional Football Competition at The Len Forge Centre, Southend on 27th February. Our football team travelled with their parents on Thursday to Burton-on-Trent ready for the national final competition on Friday, 8th March at St. George’s Park. The proud home to all 23 of England’s national football teams, St.George’s Park boasts second-to-none facilities and is a wonderful celebration of all things football!
The boys, under the direction of Mr. Lewis with Mr. Taylor’s assistance, played some brilliant football and qualified for the cup competition by coming first in the initial rounds. Although we did not win any of the next three games, the team did themselves, their parents, and our school proud, finishing the event in 7th place out of 26 teams. A huge achievement for our small school and an experience that none of them will forget!
