Children from Pre-Reception upwards and staff gathered to mark the beginning of Lent in our Ash Wednesday service, which was led by Fr John.
The service reflected on repentance, thinking of others, and preparing ourselves for the joy of Easter. Upper Two assisted in leading the liturgy and read beautifully and the younger children responded enthusiastically to Fr John’s homily.
The school community received ashes on their foreheads with the words, ‘Repent and believe in the Good News’.
