On 31st January, Transition braved the cold and windy airfield of Duxford to learn about the History of Flight as part of their History topic.
They went into British Airspace and looked at and explored the Comet, Concorde and Hermes. They sequenced the History of flight and discovered the Vulcan and Flying boat. After lunch they went over to the American Hanger and explored American aircraft which included the B52 Bomber and The Black bird Spy plane. They listened carefully to the sad story of 9/11 while watching a recording of the aircraft activity of that day.
The children were complimented on their excellent behaviour by the staff from Duxford. It was a wonderful and exciting day.
