Pre-Reception is led by Mrs. J. Aronowicz, who is supported by Mrs. L. Speller.

Pre-Reception is our first class and is for our youngest pupils aged 3.  A warm welcome awaits you as you join not only the class, but the whole school community. The days are all packed full of engaging fun and educational activities, both in the classroom and in the outdoor play areas. The principal aims in Pre-Reception are to settle the children into life at the Ursuline Prep School. The children learn through play and short periods of formal instruction.

The class follow the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, which is the first stage of a child’s education. It incorporates seven areas of learning: Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development, Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, and Expressive Arts and Design.

Tapestry is used as an online learning journal, which celebrates your child’s learning at school.  Many experiences are shared during their time in the class and parents are encouraged to share their experiences at home in a similar way.
