Upper Two had an absolutely magical time on their visit to the Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studios in Watford on Monday. The children thoroughly enjoyed their tour which began in the breath-taking Great Hall, complete with a sumptuous Christmas feast and a ceiling of floating candles. From there the children loved finding out how the films were made including props, costumes, and special effects such as green screen technology. After a slightly terrifying wander through the Forbidden Forest and a visit to platform 93⁄4 the Upper Twos had their lunch, which for some came with an accompaniment of delicious Butter Beer or Butter Beer ice-cream. In the afternoon the class continued to stamp their passports and search for golden snitches whilst visiting Privet Drive, Diagon Alley, Gringotts Bank and the stunning Hogwarts Castle model. The highlight of the day was of course the shop, where the whole class made purchases to remind them of their fantastic day (most of which were consumed on the coach on the way home!).
Huge thanks must go to all the muggle helpers who accompanied us on our Hogwarts adventure.
